Over the past 150 years, the church has been through many trying times as well as many times of great blessings, expanding and reaching out to our community through local missions eventually founding First Baptist Church of Oak Island and Beach Road Baptist Church. At Southport Baptist Church, we a long fruitful history in the local community. 

We have long been a mission minded church, helping found several local churches, some of which you may have visited!
